New Life Horizon Initiative is a refugee-led organization founded in the Nakivale refugee settlement, ISINGIRO district, Uganda in January 2020. Our mission is to empower refugees and host communities through tailored support, access to educational resources, and opportunities for community engagement. We focus on alleviating poverty and unemployment, fostering livelihoods, promoting sustainable economic growth, and creating a positive impact within our communities. Our interventions are oriented on: Entrepreneurship & Art incubation (We empower young community members by catalysing their entrepreneurial endeavours and artistic talents); Integration & Social Cohesion (Provide an integrated support program for assimilation of refugee community in their host country); Women Empowerment & Childcare (Work toward build a generation of women who are informed, self-assured against inequality & justice. We provide skills & knowledge to young women that they need to become successfully confident & self-reliant individuals) and in Wellness & Mental Health (The state of mental well-being of child, adolescent and adults enables them to cope with stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn & work well and contribute to the community).
